Lancaster County Chapter Visits With High School History Class

Members of the Chapter 1008 that is stationed in Lancaster County, PA provided a living history for students in Manheim, PA.

Freshmen at Manheim Central High School were studying the Vietnam War in an American history class. The chapter assisted the students in this unit of their lessons. Various members of the chapter formed a panel for the students.

Each panel member shared their own brief autobiography along with their personal experience in the war. The students could then ask questions.

Along with the panel, the members brought various items and memorabilia from the war for the students to look at. As the students examined the artifacts, they were able to have a very personal experience with the chapter members.
