Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 106 hosted its 31st Nam to Sand Jam concert on Oct. 20 in Tucson, Ariz. Local musicians such as Wind Raven, Bold As Love, the Lindholm Brothers, Impromptu and Mr. Skynyrd performed at the fundraiser.NamJam began as an event to build camaraderie and prevent suicide, the chapter says, by letting veterans know they were not alone. In addition to live music, this year’s event hosted several veteran support organizations, food vendors and family activities.
Funds raised at the event will be used to help fund the programs Chapter 106 supports.
