Chapter 857 Marks Veterans Day with Local Veterans

VVA Chapter 857 helped to sponsor a Veterans Day ceremony in New Philadelphia, Ohio. 

Chapter 857 is a member of the New Philadelphia Veterans Coordinating Committee which coordinated the ceremony along with other local organizational members the American Legion, AmVets, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The service was held at a courthouse square and included the New Philadelphia Quaker Marching Band’s playing of the National Anthem with Dennis Henke as the Master of Ceremonies for the occasion. Music was also provided by the Delphian Chorale.

Awards were presented to Marine Corps veteran Becky Johnson and Bonnie McMillan of Bonnie’s Alterations in New Philadelphia. Students from Welty Middle School gave a presentation on the Folds of the Flag.
