New Chapter 1129 Renames Bridge
Chapter 1129, chartered earlier this summer in Ashland City, TN, was instrumental in renaming the Marrowbone Creek Bridge as the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge.
Chapter members, including Chapter President Walter Weakley and Chapter Vice President Bob Counter, worked diligently in getting legislation passed to rename the bridge on Hwy 12 in Ashland City.
The occasion was noted with a ceremony in September at the Cheatham County Courthouse in which many supporters included local officials and State Representative Mary Littleton. There was a motorcade from the courthouse to the bridge to further bring attention to the renaming.
