Chapter 484 Prepares Fireworks Beach Party

Chapter 484 and the Mayor of East Haven, CT, Joseph Maturo, Jr., are preparing to deliver the 17th Annual Fireworks/Beach Party celebration on Saturday, June 24th from noon to 9PM. 

The fun-filled day of food and live entertainment will include an Earth, Wind & Fire tribute band called “Elements”; a patriotic musical tribute called “Rob and Karen’s salute to America’s Heroes”, which will precede the fireworks show; and live broadcasting from local radio station WPLR-FM 99.1. Food will be provided by concession stands and other food vendors.

The festivities will be dedicated to an original Town of East Haven Fireworks Committee member and VVA life member, Charlie Cottle. He died in 2016, but devoted his life’s work to advocating for POW/MIAs. He and his Harley Davidson greeted thousands of Fireworks/Beach Party celebration attendees over the years.

Ongoing fundraising from businesses and personal donations are currently being received by mail at VVA Fireworks 2016 c/o Mayor’s Office, 250 Main Street, East Haven, CT 06512.

The day’s festivities will take place along Cosey Beach Avenue. The rain date will be Monday, June 26th.
