Members of Chapter 1059 Appreciated on Veterans Day

Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in Starke, FL commemorated Vietnam veterans with a special Veterans Day program.

The ceremony, with a spotlight especially on Vietnam veterans, was accented by a speech from Clay County, FL Chapter 1059 ‘s president, Gary Newman.

The program’s agenda included a Junior ROTC color guard processional, recognizing families of retired or active duty military, remarks by Col. Matt Johnson, Commander of Camp Blanding, and identifying and commending each branch of the military.

All Vietnam veterans were presented with a special lapel pin and individually thanked.

The event also featured an exhibit with war artifacts from the Camp Blanding Museum.
