Chapter 392 Helps Veterans Get Health Care

Portland, Oregon, Chapter 392 is part of a new local veterans group coalition, the American Military Veterans Outreach Organization. Led by Iraq War veteran Tina Kennedy, the group provides outreach to veterans who are not comfortable working directly with the Department of Veterans Affairs, primarily on homeless veterans’ issues. Chapter 392 has an office in the building where the new coalition operates. The other groups in the coalition are the Portland chapter of PTSD of America, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Laundry Love, Friends Involved in Dog Outreach (FIDO), and the American Military Engagement Network (AMEN).
